Bird Dog Rescue...

Two English Pointers rescued by the Illinois Bird Dog Rescue putting on a show!

Most of you have probably heard of dog rescue organizations before. Most are run by AKC breed clubs, or sometimes by independent groups or by local humane societies. But, the Illinois Bird Dog Rescue, Inc. is one of the few organizations specifically devoted to the rescue of American Field bred pointers and setters. For those of you who aren't necessarily looking for a big running bird dog that does everything perfect, but perhaps are looking for a nice "field-bred" companion, a buddy to hang out with and ride in the pick-up truck to the store, or maybe go out for a local hunt... the Illinois Bird Dog Rescue might be able to hook you up with a nice bird dog for a pretty reasonable deal. And, in the course of doing so, you might be saving a bird dog from the dog pound. Check out their website at
