2012 Inductees to the Red Setter Hall of Fame!

The National Red Setter Field Trial is pleased to announce that the Red Setter Hall of Fame Committee has chosen Joe Edwards of Goldsboro North Carolina as the 2012 Inductee to the Red Setter Hall of Fame.  Joe is the first person in the history of the National Red Setter Field Trial Club to be inducted through the Red Setter Hall of Fame.  The Committee chose Joe Edwards following the recommendation of the general membership vote, who voted overwhelmingly to place Joe into the Red Setter Hall of Fame.

Joe and his wife Brenda are the owners of Come Back Kennels, a well known producer of a long list of champion red setters, most notably the producer of Bearcat, who holds the highest number of American Field placements in U.S. history, under the tutelage of Dr. Roger Boser.

This year's canine entry into the Red Setter Hall of Fame is Come Back Lady (Edward's Red Rover X Duplin County Moonshine).  Most appropriately, "Lady" will enter the Red Setter Hall of Fame with her owner Joe Edwards.  Lady was the "foundation" bitch for Come Back Setters, and with her breeding, Joe produced a veritable slew of red setter champions.  It is especially fitting that Joe will be inducted along with the red setter that started it all for Come Back Kennels!

The National Red Setter Field Trial Club, the Board of Directors, and the red setter community extends its most hearty congratulations to Joe and Lady.  Of all honors and awards offered through the National Red Setter Field Trial Club, the induction into our Hall of Fame is most prestigious and is offered only to those most exceptional members and canines who have given in an extraordinary and meritorious way to the cause of the Purest Challenge.  Joe Edwards and Come Back Lady have certainly earned this honor.

The NRSFTC extends an invitation to all members of the field trial community, friends, and family to join us in a celebration of this joyous occasion at the National Bird Dog Museum and Hall of Fame, on Saturday February 9 2013 in Grand Junction Tennessee.   Come with us to Grand Junction as we celebrate with Joe Edwards and Come Back Lady their dedication and devotion to the Purest Challenge in Sportsdom!
